The Truth About Crystal Deodorant

The unregulated term, natural, has led to deceptive marketing tactics resulting in falsely labeled natural products, especially within the cosmetics and personal care product industry. Crystal deodorants are becoming increasingly popular due to their effective odor protection and all-natural ingredients, but that is not the case for some. There are now two types of crystal deodorants available, both which are labeled natural, but one is chemically synthesized by mixing aluminum hydroxide with potassium or ammonium sulfate in sulfuric acid, and the actual natural one is made entirely of the naturally occurring mineral salt, potassium alum.
