Beauty - How to Succeed - Part 5
This Article continues the study of the concept of beauty by an analysis of its effect on society at large. It discusses the film Malena which exemplifies how an individual may be singled out for harassment simply as a result of their beauty. It gives examples of how individuals who are regarded as physically attractive may outperform their less-attractive counterparts in respect of the many goals in life, such as income. Finally, it considers the concept of "lookism" which defines the prejudice against other individuals on the basis of their physical appearance.
